Bushwahzee
ACOUSTIC FOLK & AUSSIE BUSH DANCE

For it’s part in the High Country Halls Music Festival, Jamieson is proud to welcome Bushwahzee
to lead us in a traditional Aussie Bush Dance.
Bushwahzee is an institution – an enduring band of musicians.
The band has seen many changes since its first gig at the Organ Factory in Clifton Hill in 1981, but the current line up is Paul Jenkins, original Bushwahzee member, singer, dance caller and lagerphone extraordinaire player; Felix Meagher – fiddle player, song writer and composer of film scores (including credits on Baz Luhrmann’s Australia) and musicals; and Cyril Moran – Irish singer and guitarist well known around Melbourne for performing solo in Irish pubs.
The band has a wide variety in its play list including many well known Aussie songs and dances. The band members have also written many of their own songs and dances. The band has worked in hundreds of schools around the country and in recent years they have become involved in staging their own own musicals and plays that have been performed many times around Melbourne and Victoria.
This event in Jamieson will be one of participation and laugh out loud fun!
Bushwahzee specialises in leading dances that get their audiences involved. Remember the Heel Toe Polka and the Pride of Erin? Well these will be part of the fun in the Jamieson Memorial Hall on Saturday 13 November.
Put some comfortable shoes on your feet, grab a hat, throw on a skirt that swings because you can dance all night at this fun family event.

“Music that speaks to Aussie heritage. Real, authentic, toe-tapping stuff that gets you and all the family on your feet!"

Pop-Up Choir Experience
Sing It Once - Sing It Loud
FOR ALL THE FAMILY

Ever wanted to experience the joy of just singing out loud with a bunch of friends? Well, this is what Jamieson’s 'Sing it Once - Sing It Loud' is all about - an incredible Pop-Up Choir experience that is powerful and uplifting.
Come along on the day, learn your singing part, (the words will be printed for you), and then come together as a Pop-Up Choir to sing your happy heart out.
You don’t need to be skilled or even in tune - that’s the beauty of being part of a Pop-Up Choir.
Just be there with a smile on your dial, and enthusiasm in your vocal cords!
Our Choir leaders will do the rest as they set people into groups, teach each group their harmony, then bring it all together.
This is a family friendly experience that will leave you exhilarated and is not to be missed!
